About Jackie Johnson

Professional Certified Coach

Jackie has more than 25 years of experience empowering others through consulting, counseling, training and coaching. Before launching her own business, her work experience included~

  • Seven years as a Consultant with DBM, specializing in transition coaching with employees at all levels, including senior executives and middle managers.
  • Five years with The Travelers as a Human Resource Generalist and consultant in compensation and staffing.
  • Four years of social service and nonprofit experience. 

In 2003, drawing the best from all her previous experiences, Jackie founded Choice Business and Personal Coaching, LLC, a firm that specializes in individual coaching as well as coaching for business leaders and teams. She has worked with a broad spectrum of client companies, including financial service firms; manufacturers of consumer goods, chemicals, and high tech devices; and service and consulting firms.

Degrees and Such…

Jackie earned her B.A. in Behavioral Science from Lyndon State College in Vermont. She holds the designation of Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) from the Coaches Training Institute and Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is also a qualified Blind Spots Coach and co-author of the soon to be released Blind Spots to Clear Sight Workbook with Claudia Shelton. For the past three years, Jackie served as Membership Co-Chair for the ICF Connecticut Chapter. She is also an active member of the Connecticut Collaborative of Professional Coaches.

On a Personal Note...

Jackie is passionate about giving back to her community through participation in business, civic and charitable organizations. She coordinates an annual bicycle collection for Pedals for Progress that serves the dual purpose of protecting the environment and providing needed transportation for people in developing countries.

Jackie has also been pivotal in launching an arts endowment in her community to provide annual arts programming for people of all ages. Heading the effort, she has produced two cultural fund-raising events to rave reviews! 

Jackie lives in North Granby, Connecticut with her husband and two teen-aged children who are a constant source of challenge and delight.
